PYSCHOLOGY IN THE PARK
WHO We Are
Psychology In The park is built from a desire to offer real help in real time from real people. We desire to remove the stigma around seeking mental health support and break down barriers individuals often face accessing psychological services.
When we are in crisis we need support right now, not in six weeks. Our intake process begins right away, we desire to put you at ease and match you with your psychologist based on their corresponding experience and knowledge.
When families are hurting many times we don’t know where to turn. Our team of professionals works diligently to support you and your family throughout your journey with compassion and respect, validating your experience while offering you the skills needed to live your fullest life.
Meet Your DREAM Team
Christopher Lee, M.A Registered Provisional Psychologist (he/him)
Hey! I'm Christopher, a Registered Provisional Psychologist. I work with teens, adults, couples and families dealing with a variety of concerns. I value flexibility, a deep connection and fun. I strive to meet you wherever you are in life's journey, whether that's diving deep and wading in the dark or if you're feeling stuck and need to untangle the mess. I aim to listen wholeheartedly and to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be authentic and transparent. I believe the journey is about progress (no matter how small) over perfection, which can be made a lot smoother when we are able to exhale and share a few laughs along the way.
I use an integrated approach anchored in authenticity and empathy. I believe that through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration you may experience growth, meaningful change and a life worth living. I use a relational framework while drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), experiential, somatic and existential approaches. This means turning inward and listening to the sensations of our body to release the painful or scary experiences we may hold in our body. As we bring our attention to the inner parts of ourselves and the space between us, the wounds we've experienced from the events of our lives and from others can start to heal and repair. Learning to move through our emotions and responses that may not be serving us well now, but have allowed us to survive or feel safe before can then lead to more freedom and flexibility to engage with things that matter to us or allow us to become the person we truly want to be in this world.
I resonate deeply with complex trauma (neglect, abuse, spiritual), shame, identity/meaning concerns, relationship issues, mood/personality disorders, and neurodiversity (like ADHD). I truly believe that our relationship is foundational to the therapeutic process.

I deeply respect and value cultural diversity, recognizing that our diverse experiences not only shape who we are but will also enrich our therapeutic journey together.
My personal journey as an immigrant woman and parent has deeply influenced my practice. Together, let's embark on the journey of positive change, guided by this unwavering belief in your individual strength and resilience.

“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact”
(William James, Father of American Psychology)
Our beliefs most often guide our actions. I have always had a deep interest in how our beliefs form our human behaviour. How we interpret the behaviour of ourselves, and others, forms the meaning we give to life. The poignant beauty and joy in life, tempered with the strife and struggle, is evident everywhere. While we all face problems and challenges in life I fervently believe life is a gift. Through listening to the stories people tell and working through our own stories, we human beings often show great courage as we face our circumstances and forge ahead, day to day, step by step.
In my career as a CBT and Gestalt therapist, vocational rehabilitation specialist, and psychological assessor, I have worked with a diverse range of clients. I serve adults aged 18 and older, with extensive experience in geriatric patients, young mothers experiencing perinatal anxiety and depression, and individuals coping with permanent disabilities. I provide both assessment and talk therapies, utilizing my extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt Therapy, including techniques such as the open chair method. My primary goal through these approaches is to help clients achieve balance in their lives.
I have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University, and a master’s degree in science (Psychology). I completed an undergraduate degree in English Literature from McMaster University. I subscribe to lifelong learning. I did my graduate work as a mature student while working full time so I understand how finding balance in our modern lives can affect our mental and physical health.

Brandi Booth, BA, CYT
Hi, I’m Brandi! I am a certified yoga teacher and have been studying and practicing yoga for over 20 years. I have a background in psychology and love to weave the shared practices of mindfulness and therapeutic breathwork from the two disciplines into all of the classes I teach. I also love all things anatomy, alignment and biomechanics and am dedicated to teaching yoga and movement that are both accessible and sustainable.
I offer classes that combine ancient yoga principles and modern movement science to educate and empower my students to move and feel better in their bodies. I use therapeutic breathwork and mindfulness techniques to support the nervous system and strengthen the mind-body connection, and focus on mobility, strength and flexibility to increase robustness and resilience in the body. I aim to give my students tools to navigate life and its inevitable physical, mental and emotional challenges with a greater sense of calm, compassion and balance.
Yoga has changed and improved my life in so many wonderful ways. I am more joyful, peaceful, mindful, flexible, strong and body-aware because of it, and am passionate about sharing this beautiful practice and all of its benefits with others.

Who We Work With
-
Youth
Today's youth face stressors traditionally reserved for adults, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, stress, trauma, and more. We offer assessment and support for youth experiencing developmental and mental health challenges. Additionally, we provide tools for parents and caregivers to support the entire family unit.
-
Families
Finding it difficult to communicate and function as a family? Beyond adolescent children and parents, we welcome adult children and parents as well. Reveal the heart of the issue with a focus on problem-solving.
-
Individuals
Personalized psychotherapy is ideal for adults seeking to uncover meaningful patterns in their behavior, heal from trauma, or cope with everyday life. Together we will gain insight of who you are, explore what is no longer serving you and map out healthier ways of moving forward.
-
Couples
Open to any and all couples regardless of marital status. Couples therapy provides practical support to meet your unique challenges. You and your partner will define shared goals, become better communicators, and learn to connect on a deeper level.
